However, it does not happen instantly, there are a few steps involved. Why not take a moment and review what we have below. First you will need a domain name. You will need to find out the availability of the name you want. Use the "Search for a Domain" on Davesurf Registery Rocket Domain Name Purchase Page.

Now, you're ready to select the Davesurf web hosting plan that is best for you. After signing up, be sure to save all of the setup e-mail for future reference, including your username and passwords.

The next step is to actually begin to build your web pages that will be hosted on our servers. Unless you know HTML (hypertext markup language), you will need wysiwig "what you see is what you get" web publishing software. Chances are you probably already have web publishing software installed on your computer. It comes with many of the graphic programs these days. Some of these programs are called Microsoft FrontPage and Macromedia Dreamweaver. You now just need to learn this easy to use software to build your site, or you consult with us to build your site for you.

The final step is to publish your newly designed pages to your account on the Davesurf servers. There are several ways that this can be done.

a) Use the web publishing mechanism built into your web design software.

b) Use FTP (file transfer protocol). This gives you full access to your account similar to windows explorer. You will need a ftp program to access this way, such as WS_FTP or CuteFTP, which you can find through just about any shareware site. We recommend WsFTP_LE.
